This family run hotel is set in its own gardens a short walk from the village of Windermere, has an AA rosette for fine food and is complemented by excellent customer service.
The hotel provides comfortable accommodation for those wishing to relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery, wonderful walks and wealth of leisure facilities the Lake District has to offer. Built in 1854 as a private country retreat, Cedar Manor is set in mature walled gardens that are dominated by a 200 year old Cedar tree, giving the hotel a feeling of peace and seclusion that belies their location just outside the town centre. Cedar Manor offers eleven individually designed ensuite rooms, each with their own character and unique features. Some rooms offer luxurious spa baths to wind down in after a full day's adventure while others boast magnificent views of Windermere and the Langdale Pikes, however all rooms offer great amenities such as free wireless Internet access and flat screen TV's. Enjoy an evening of fine dining in the hotel's candlelit, AA rosette Restaurant, which offers award winning service and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The menus change with the seasons to ensure your meal is prepared with the freshest produce, locally sourced wherever possible, that will please any palate. The hotel lounge and bar has comfortable sofas and armchairs to relax on while you refresh with a drink and enjoy the splendid views of the garden. Windermere is a popular destination for visits to the Lake District with its wealth of excellent shops, fine restaurants and bistros as well as pubs and bars. Many of the nearby activities can be reached with an easy walk, notably the nearby town of Bowness on Windermere, with its Marina that offers the ever popular lake cruises to Ambleside and Lakeside. There are an endless number of walks and scenic views to be enjoyed in this fantastic region of England, leaving visitors spoilt for choice.
Cedar Manor is on the A591 on the outskirts of Windermere village, next to St Mary's Church.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk or 2 minute taxi ride from Windermere train station.

Bowness

Bowness is a large en suite ground-floor room with a super-king-size bed, fridge and flat-screen 26-inch TV and DVD player. The seating area overlooks the garden.

Coachman's

Coachmans is a large room on the ground floor of the converted coach house and as such, has its own private entrance. Langdale
