Applegarth Villa is a magnificent Arts and Crafts period property set in a quiet area of Windermere Village within walking distance of the train station and shops with the unique benefit of free onsite parking. Elegantly appointed, Applegarth offers accommodation from classic double rooms to luxury four posters with views over the Lakeland Fells. To compliment this magnificent building, all our rooms are fully co-ordinated with fabrics and soft furnishings carefully chosen by our Interior Designer.
Wallmounted flat screen tv's, digital radio with i-pod docking, refreshment tray, bottled Lakeland water, bathrobes and power showers all come as standard. Our oak panelled bar with roaring fire gives you the opportunity to relax and unwind whilst choosing dinner from our extensive a la carte menu all freshly prepared by our award winning chef. During the summer months the hotel terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet drink whilst watching the sun set over the Lakeland Fells before dining in our conservatory restaurant. All guests have complimentary membership to the Parklands Country Club nearby. Cruise on the hotels privately owned luxury motor yacht exclusive to hotel guests.
By Car:
From the north or south:
- Exit the M6 at junction 36 and take the A591 signposted for Windermere.
- After about 7 miles you will come to a large roundabout; simply head straight on, again signposted for Windermere.
- After about 8 miles you will come into Windermere. Turn left into Elleray Road, which is just after the National Westminster Bank, then take the 1st right into College Road.
- You will find the Applegarth Hotel about 50 metres along College Road on the right-hand side. We have a private car park available at the rear of the hotel.
By Train:
Head for Oxenholme Station on the west coast line, and change to a train to Windermere. The hotel is a 3-minute walk from the station.
